Catching up

Early last week, Blake and I went to a brunch for new moms with babies born in 2009. There were 11 babies, so you can imagine how hectic this brunch was! Luckily the hostess had a babysitter on hand to watch them nap while we ate, although some moms couldn't pull themselves away from the kiddos and ended up just holding them while they ate. It was great to meet other moms in town, and funny to see all these babies in one place. We joked that we sure made the local baby doctors wealthy this year. =)
We arranged the kids in a line on the couch for a group picture with their matching little onesies that said "born in 2009." Blake was so calm through the whole thing...just chillin' out while the little girl next to him was screaming like crazy. He was so funny to watch.

We went to Houston this weekend for Anne's graduation from law school (congrats Anne!!!). I was SO excited to get to spend some time with my precious friend Kaela and her two sweet kiddos while we were in town. Wish it could have been longer!

This is the random pic for the week--I love honeysuckle (we had it in our backyard when I was kid), and JUST learned that we have it in our backyard here in Brownwood! Woo-hoo!!! So beautiful. Dalton and I picked a few to suck out the sweetness inside....made me feel like a kid again. =)

Here is Blake "talking," which he does alot more these days! He's also laughing more often, which is HILARIOUS to watch. He does this low, deep chuckle when he laughs. Cracks me up!
