Visit from Nanny, 4th of July, etc.

Please forgive me! It's been longer than I'd hoped since my last post. We've had a busy few weeks. My mom came to visit for several days (see pics below!), I helped with a baby shower, we went to visit friends in Longview, and I started teaching summer school last week. So I'm just now getting to upload pictures! Here it goes!!

Blake LOVES having his Nanny around. She reads him lots of books! (She even trained him to say "Mmm mm" (with emphasis) when she points to a strawberry in one of the books). =) So funny. We had a great visit!

My sweet friend Jill is due with TWINS next week! Twins! Holy cow....and I thought my hands were full with one. Its been so fun taking her meals and spending time with her, especially since she's so bored couped up at home to limit activity. We threw her a much-needed baby shower (all the normal supplies X 2!).

Then for the 4th of July, we traveled to Longview to spend the weekend with Dalton's BFF, Adam. =) He and his wife (Emily) and their precious 1-yr-old baby girl (Abbott) let us invade their amazing home. See below for several pics of our kiddos, plus the first one shows what Adam and Dalton did late at night once the kids were asleep. =) Ahhh, reliving their college days again with XBOX.

Blake LOVED this little tricycle. Dalton said that as soon as he's old enough we are most definitely buying him a Big Wheels. Apparently Dalton was a master at riding Big Wheels. =)

We tried to get him in the pool, but he wasn't too excited about that. This is the best pic I got with a smile. =)

As soon as we got home, Blake got a horrible fever and congestion sickness. Not fun at all. =( Couldn't sleep well, and just wanted to snuggle (which we didn't mind at all).

Once he was all better, he was back to climbing into things, like his toy box. =)

He discovered Dalton's lightsaber, which of course THRILLED Dalton! This has been a new favorite lately.

So I think its been maybe 4 or 5 months since I've taken his "monthly" pictures in the chair. Time to catch up! Especially since my baby is now 18 months old. Wow! So I decided to post several just so you could see the series of events now that he can wiggle his way OUT of the chair. Enjoy.

Hope you have a great week!!! =)
