The first one is my favorite. Look at this smile. =)
He LOVES Bethany (Dalton's cousin). After she flirted with him for a bit, he kept looking over at her during the rehearsal dinner and smiling. He's learning his moves at an early age. =) (nevermind that she's a relative).
Getting ready to head to the beach....but first, he found Hutch's tennis racquet! Dalton gave him a little racquet at home, one that is designed for 5-yr-olds. He loves to scoot things around the house with it (like a large beach ball, or sometimes he tries to sweep Dakota). We like to think he's a prodigy in training, developing his hand-eye coordination. =)
First time at a beach! He wasn't too excited about it, mostly because it was REALLY windy that day. Hopefully it was a good warm-up for Florida later in the summer. Yeah!!! The sand will be softer, and hopefully it'll be less windy (and there will be no tar balls floating around).
Back at home, we did some major cleaning this weekend. I even threw out a bunch of my dissertation paperwork (I have it on file electronically). I must say that it was quite therapeutic to sit him the middle of the floor and let him tear those papers up!! All we needed was a metal barrel and a little fire! But that's not safe for the environment. And its a little overboard. Instead we just recycled it. =)
Here are a few video clips. The first is just of him climbing on an empty plastic box. The second is of him and Dalton playing with a tennis racquet. He LOVES when things hit the racquet. =) Hutch started that gave during their last visit. And the third video below is just to make you smile. I don't know what's better in life than hearing a child laugh. Such a blessing!
