Happy Easter!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Here is Blake on Easter morning in a cute outfit my Mom bought for him. He wasn't quite into the easter egg hunting yet. Next year! =)

This also seemed like the perfect weekend to make some changes to our dead flowerbeds outside. I won't even show you a "before" picture. I'm too embarrassed. The person who lived in this house before us was a plant fanatic with gorgeous flowers EVERYWHERE. She even warned us, "there will probably be people stopping by asking if they can have some of the plants since they know I'm moving....its up to you." Oh great! No pressure...especially since the whole neighborhood loved her flowers. It took....oh, maybe 3 months for all of them to be dead once we moved in. Yep, that's what happens when people leave me in charge of plants. But, I'm going to blame it on the fact that I was starting a new job, living in a new town, expecting our first baby, and still in school (and the fact that I don't have a green thumb). So, now that we're a bit more settled, and all the dead plants have overgrown and made our house look very scary from the outside, we decided it was time to do something. Dalton and his Dad went to work on the front flowerbeds---they dug up and threw out all the old dead stuff, then added good soil and plant food (giving them a better chance of survival!), and planted flowers/shrubs that now brighten my day. Its so nice to look out my window now and not cringe at the sight. =) Here are some action shots of their work. (notice Dakota and Blake helped out)

Blake discovered his ability to climb up and down the footstool, with the help of his grandparents. He did this about 50 times that night. =) I don't think they minded too much.

Here is a clip of Blake and Dalton's Mom. He loves it when people say "BOOM!" or "ZOOM!" with alot of emphasis to it. If he's in the right mood, he can get the giggles very easily with these words and keep on laughing. Here is the tail end of one of those giggle fits. =) He was just learning to say "boom" all by himself.
