Christy's wedding weekend!

Yeah--I LOVE weddings!!! My closest friend from Arkadelphia got married last weekend, and Blake and I made the trip up to join in the festivities. It was SO much fun, and Christy was such a beautiful bride (so in love and all smiles--you couldn't help but smile constantly when you were in the same room). =)

Christy's dress was beautiful! She looked like a princess. Kevin said that Adria was pretty uninterested at the wedding before it started; she was getting a little fidgety. Then when Christy started walking down the aisle, she was ALL ABOUT IT. She called her a princess, and practically fell off the pew trying to see her when she and Brian walked out. =) So cute.

Here is the little man, trying to stay awake during picture time. He was definitely a trooper--didn't throw any fits the whole weekend, just rolled along with whatever we were doing. He even slept the ENTIRE road trip (we stopped in Dallas on the way up and back, but I had to wake him up when we got there!!). That was such an answered prayer. I was so nervous about the road trip with just the two of us (Dalton had tennis tournaments all weekend).

One of the best things about weddings is getting to see old friends. These are some of our old crew of high school buddies that have stuck together for years. I can't believe its been 12 years since we graduated. Holy cow! We were a little sad because this is the last wedding of our crew. =( We told Christy that she and Brian have to have ANOTHER wedding in a few years just so that we can all get together again.

Blake was getting pretty tired by the end of the day. Here he is cuddled up with his Nanny.

We got to see Jamie, too (my closest college friend)!! She drove down from Little Rock to meet the Blakester, and was sweet enough to babysit during the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner (I didn't have to twist her arm too much). =)

Kevin and his family came for the wedding. I loved seeing the munchkins again (and Kevin and Misti too, of course). Adria has gotten so tall, and Jonah is so big it seems like he could just start a conversation with you (even though he's only 9 months old). =)

It was a great trip! I'm SO happy for Christy and Brian. What an exciting start to marriage--to make that committment to your best friend and celebrate with all of your family and friends. Such a wonderful time!! I told Dalton we need to have another wedding. Maybe every 5 years or so. =)
