Blake has decided that he LOVES blueberries. I can only imagine how fun it was for him to discover how they explode in your mouth when you bite in to them. =) We've also learned the value of a Cheerio. Those things are awesome.
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend with Dalton's family at our home. I was excited to put together a tastey (and easy) meal to feed the whole crew, and luckily it came together well. This was not our first time to host Thanksgiving, but it WAS the first time when we actually had a dining room table (last time we were at our condo in Missouri with NO table...imagine eating Thanksgiving dinner with your plate in your lap). =) This was also my first time to cook a whole turkey...something I was quite nervous about--but thanks to Ina Garten's awesome recipe, it was fabulous!! Thank you, Ina. The preparation part was not fun...you'd think I'd be O.K. with that sort of thing since I lead dissections in my classes all the time, but for some reason, this was different. Maybe it was because I knew we would be eating this guy. Oh well. I got over it! Below are pictures from the weekend.

We took a family walk to the park (to walk off all the turkey) and decided to give Blake his first swinging experience. =) He loved it! Look at the bottom of this post for a video clip!
Here are a few random pictures we took...
Then, on to this weekend. Below is Blake and Dalton after our trip to pick up our tree (Blake's first tree!). We decided to get the house decorated on Saturday. Last year we didn't to do much in terms of making the house feel like Christmas....maybe because I was 9 months pregnant and not quite in the mood. But this year, we went all out. Dalton put up lights outside the house that we bought AFTER Christmas last year for 75% off, and I must say, he did a WONDERFUL job. Very festive! =) I'll try to post pictures soon!
