A crawling machine.

We thought Blake would skip crawling all together, but he suddenly decided to start! Our tile floors aren't the best for his occasional falls, but he's getting better and tougher each day. He's also discovering new things around the house---his recent favorites are the doors and the stereo equipment (and "petting" Dakota, of course). Yikes.

Before Blake was born, we registered for all kinds of essentials new parents would need. We also registered for a couple of cool toys that we didn't need for a newborn but would use eventually, like this awesome backpack/carrier (see below). Dalton was VERY excited about this one, and he finally got to use it this week. He first discovered it when he was home watching sick Blake and needed to do a few chores around the house (this was an exciting discovery for him....I compared it to the sling thing I wore when Blake was tiny). Then, he decided that we needed to go on a walk with it, even though we didn't need to put anything in the backpack (except the keys). It will be great when I'm not home and he wants to takes both the kids on a walk (Blake and Dakota). Its a little difficult trying to steer a stroller AND hold on to a 50-pound husky that's pulling your arm off to chase after the squirrels.

This video shows Blake's new favorite sound to make...growling. He loves to growl at Dakota! It cracks me up.
