She got SO much stuff...especially kitchen stuff. She's pretty much set in that category.
Here is Cate with both of the Moms....her future mother-in-law on the left and her mom on the right.
Alrighty, so that was last weekend. On to this weekend. We decided to get out on the town today and join in on a few community events. We started out at the HPU Homecoming Parade. It was scheduled right during Blake's normal nap time, so we were skeptical, but as always, he was a trooper.

He was just starting to rub his eyes alot (notice the red eyes), but still in a good mood. He usually doesn't like really loud sounds, so I was ready to bolt with him if he freaked out at the marching band walking by. But when they passed he was completely still and just stared at them. It was hilarious! He just studies things around him before reacting....this time, no reaction. Thank goodness!
Then we were going to go to the picnic afterwards hosted by HPU, but decided not to push our luck on nap time. So after his nap, we headed over to a local fresh produce store with a huge set up of pumpkins and took a little "fake pumpkin patch" picture (no patch, just pumpkins). He wasn't too keen on the idea at first, then I got a LITTLE smile. That was about it.
Our afternoon was going to end with a local volleyball game (I have a few students on the volleyball team, Dalton used to play volleyball and loves it, plus a friend of our's from church is the volleyball coach, so we figured we should at least go to one game). We got there and there were very few cars in the parking lot, which I thought was normal since the football game was around the same time. Then one of my students walked in and I found out it didn't start for another 2 hours. We were a little off on the time. So....oh well, we tried!! Maybe next time. =)

Yep, these are some of our kiddos. =)
